Description
John Jameson founded his distillery in Dublin in 1780 to realise his ambition of making the highest quality whiskey possible. Today Jameson is still made in our Single Distillery in Midleton, Co Cork, Ireland following our founder’s tradition of using the finest ingredients and triple distillation to achieve our signature smoothness.
The Blender's Dog - part of the Whiskey Makers Series - is an Irish Whiskey that commends the specialty of our Head Blender Billy Leighton. We don't know whether he has a melodic note in his mind yet orchestrating Irish bourbon is his principle interest.
This is our tribute to his aptitude and the instrument he uses to hear his bourbon sing – his blender's puppy.
NOSE - From light citrus to pineapple, mango and kiwi notes, with the expansion of figs and dates. A bit of walnut leads into the commitment of the prepared American barrels and Spanish butts, vanilla and toasted oak.
TASTE - A rich, round, velvety mouthfeel, with the sweetness of butterscotch, offering route to the prickle of the pot still flavors. Succulent natural product brings the ideal adjust as singed oak with some inconspicuous tannin add to the many-sided quality.
FINISH - Exceptionally long, as the luscious fruit is slow to fade.
