The Glenlivet is the single malt that started it all. It is the oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet, Speyside Scotland. It was founded in 1824 and has operated almost continuously since.
Aging in first fill American Oak casks brings a creamy sweetness to the whisky, and hints of zesty citrus play well with notes of sweet caramel apple. Inspired by our legendary founder George Smith, this whisky is an expression of both tradition and innovation.
There is a delicacy in the aroma that is infused with hints of citrus fruits, notably sweet orange. This sweet and fruity theme continues with notes of pears, zesty oranges and a hint of toffee apple, before a creamy, long and extremely smooth finish.
Don't know if it's me but all these variations of Glen 12 have slight differences that don't justify their price, good but not that much better till you jump to Glen 14 or 15
