When it was standard practice to develop whisky for close to 6 years, Andrew Mackenzie exhibited his spearheading character by multiplying the development time frame. His strength genuinely paid off, The Dalmore 12 year old still stands separated as an exceptional whisky today, as it did at that point.
Matured for nine years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, the spirit is then divided for its last prosper. One half stays in the whiskey barrels, while the other is exchanged to selective multi year old Gonzalez Byass Matusalem oloroso sherry butts before they are reunited to make this wonderful whisky.
