Description
Islay, Scotland- Full, rich body. Sweet and luscious on the palate, with clear, grassy malt and peat flavors. Finishes incredibly long, with fruit, peat, and pepper notes and an appetizing sweetness.
By far the most popular of the series, this double-matured Lagavulin has had a finishing period in sweet, sticky Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. A whisky that never disappoints.
Nose: Sweet dried fruit and tobacco to start, followed by coal smoke, chocolate cake and spice.
Palate: Rich and smoky, with wood smoke and ashy peat. Orange marmalade and sweet sherry fruit.
Finish: Earthy smoke, singed leaves and dark chocolate.
