This is a solitary malt from the Miyagikyo refinery, Nikka’s second refinery worked in 1969. The organizer Masataka Taketsuru picked this site in the mountains of Sendai to appear differently in relation to his first refinery, Yoichi, situated in the waterfront territory.
This is a blended malt named to pay tribute to Masataka Taketsuru, the dad of Japanese whisky. He is the main Japanese who aced whisky-production in Scotland and delivered the bona fide whisky in Japan.
