Oak Steve Selection by Round’n Brown & Seven Grand
A favorite of bartenders, 100 proof honors the legacy of founder George Garvin Brown, who put his signature on every bottle. And this bourbon is definitely one he would be proud to have his name on today.
Handpicked from select barrels, Old Forester 100 proof is a rich, complex bourbon. Spicy, robust, and bottled at 100 proof to maintain its distinct character and full flavor profile.
In April 2013, Trey sat next to the Editor in Chief of Esquire magazine, David Granger, at a book launch for his chef’s collaboration partner, Edward Lee. One of the products Trey brought with him that night was a barrel-aged Manhattan cocktail made with Jefferson’s. David liked it so much that they spent the next two and half years developing different recipes to create one together. They nailed it down to three recipes, aged them in 53 gallon barrels and finally selected the one that they thought was the ultimate Manhattan.
It is 125 proof bourbon that had been fully matured in Kentucky, cut to 82 proof, with equal parts sweet and dry vermouth and a little bit of barrel aged, spiced Black Cherry Bitters added. It is then placed in a used bourbon barrel for four months. Barrel aging the cocktail adds a whole other level of flavors to the Manhattan. All you have to do is open, pour, chill and serve.”

Widow Jane: the Vaults is a limited release of our rarest & oldest bourbons. Hand selected from our rickhouse, we’re quite excited to release our most hedonistic bourbon to date.
Our 2021 release combines 15-17 year old bourbons that have been carefully selected from our stocks housed in Red Hook by our very own Lisa Wicker. The whiskey was finished in unique Adirondack Oak casks coopered with 42 month air-seasoned wood (50% longer than the standard 1-2 years). The extended outdoor maturation of the staves softens tannins and greenness in the wood yielding a one-of-a-kind flavor profile influenced by each season. The result is an intense whiskey with hints of cream, smoke, and spice.
“Blending these older barrels for the Vaults is a privilege. They are old and beautiful on their own but are elevated when combined.
Influencing them with extraordinary oak creates a one of a kind combination.
The batch has a nice color coming from the time it rested in charred white oak barrels in our Kentucky climate. I sampled this batch on a rainy morning, and as usual, the first sip told me this was a batch that my Dad would be proud of. The aroma has vanilla and brown spice, and this sweetness continues when it first hits your tongue. Because of where Booker’s is aged, the initial heat won’t overwhelm you and leaves you with a balanced taste. The finish is long and warm, just the way Dad liked it. From the name of the batch that reflects the way he lived his life, to the bourbon in the bottle that tastes the way he enjoyed it, I know my Dad would be proud of this batch.
‘R6 Bourbon has won awards with the American Distilling Institute and is Los Angeles’ first ever bourbon to be made (legally). An American classic with yellow corn, rye and malted barley, this bourbon is balanced and easy to drink.’
‘Stellum Bourbon finds its flavor in the tension of three Indiana Bourbon mash bills, two of which are high-rye, with the third being almost exclusively corn. Older barrels from both Kentucky and Tennessee are folded in slowly, through a multi-step blending process. This brings added layers of depth and complexity, ultimately allowing us to round out a uniquely Stellum flavor profile.’
Before Jim Beam Bourbon, the Beam family made Old Tub, an unfiltered bonded bourbon. Old Tub was the foundation for what would become the world’s #1 bourbon. This limited edition bottle is a tribute to that groundbreaking whiskey.
