Nose is “vanilla lemon cake.” The palate is a balance of caramel, vanilla, spices and citrus. I’m not sure if they made the opulent bottle to match the Whiskey or vice versa.

Jack Daniel’s Bonded is a Bottled-in-Bond whiskey, which must be distilled by a single distiller during a single distillation season, matured in a government bonded warehouse for at least four years, and bottled at 100 proof. Barrels are hand-selected for their characteristics of deeper color, flavor, and aroma, which deliver a darker, richer, and more oak-forward character. Spring is coming and here’s one sure sign: The return of the Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby bottle. The annual special release from the presenting sponsor of the Run for the Roses on the first Saturday in May at Churchill Downs features work by Kentucky artist Jaime Corum this year. Her painting, titled “Dreams in Bloom,” features three Thoroughbreds racing neck-and-neck, surrounded by a spray of vivid spring flowers, including the iconic red roses of Derby, according to a news release.
