Egg Liqueur? The exact recipe was invented by the corporate founder Eugen Verpoorten in the year 1876 and has now been with the Verpoortens for five generations. You’d be surprised how many people seek it out.
Thought I’d give this a try, but it’s not my cup of tea at all. I was hoping for more of an egg nog flavor, but it’s fairly bland, not very sweet, and after you open it and refrigerate it, it’s so viscous that it barely pours out of the bottle. I got it as a “cream” to add to my coffee liqueur collection, but it definitely doesn’t enhance the flavor, and it kind of detracts from it.
