The 1964 Millésime is distilled from a single varietal, the “Baco” and comes from a single cask from a single estate, the “Château de Gaube”. At Chateau de Gaube, millésimes are not distilled every year but only when the producers feel that optimum conditions are reunited to give life to the best Armagnac. The distillation is continuous in a typical Armagnac type Alembic Still, in the best tradition. Then the Armagnac waits patiently in «Muys» of 3 000 liters made from country oak where it ages slower than it would in a 400 liters barrel.
