Midleton Dair Ghaelach Single Pot Still Tree 1 Irish Whiskey
Midleton Dair Ghaelach Grinsell’s Wood is a Single Pot Still Irish bourbon from the Midleton Distillery and it implies, essentially, Irish Oak. This bourbon has been developed in barrels produced using supportable virgin Irish Oak developed on the Ballaghtobin Estate in Co. Kilkenny and what the oak conveys to this extraordinary bourbon is the valid and exceptional kind of Ireland. Its provenance as individual as its aroma, its trip from grain to glass as recognized as its complete, this is a bourbon like no other.
The Irish Oak containers are loaded up with a select scope of 15 to 22 year old Single Pot Still distillates. Nosed and tasted each month by our Master Blender, Billy Leighton, and Master of Maturation, Kevin O’Gorman, after just about a year, Midleton Dair Ghaelach Grinsell’s Wood was judged to be wonderfully adjusted; unobtrusively yet undeniably enhanced to flawlessness by the Irish Oak that gives it its name. Midleton Dair Ghaelach Grinsell’s Wood is unique as it is our first Irish bourbon to be developed in home-developed Irish Oak.
In 2015 Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Grinsell’s Wood was named Irish bourbon of the year by both Whisky Advocate and The Jim Murray Whisky Bible.
