Joven Ensamble, espadin blended with wild cuishe. Fresh aromas of sea salt, lime flesh and roasted pineapple. Earthy, spicy and fruity on the palate, flavors of charred earth, mint, pineapple and almonds are all intertwined with a long finish.

El Pintor is created by the second certified Maestro Tequilero in the world, Guillermo Barroso Arnaud (there are only 9 in the world!). Guillermo’s focus is the art behind the blend based on meticulous distillation and agricultural practices.
The flagship product is a tequila Joven produced in the highlands of Jalisco. After 8 years, the private estate agave is harvested and cooked in an autoclave and then fermented with yeasts that have been used for decades in the hacienda, then twice distilled in a 100 year old copper pot still. The blanco is blended with an extra anejo aged 3-4 years in used bourbon barrels and then passed through their proprietary filtration system in which they remove most of the color but none of the original organaleptic properties.
In conjunction, they also created El Pintor Mezcal Ensamble. Produced in Oaxaca in the town of Yautepec, it is an ensamble of espadin and wild cuishe agaves. Cooked in the traditional earthen pit, naturally fermented using indigenous yeast that the air brings into the palenque, mashed using a tahona mill, then distilled twice in an artisanally made copper pot still. The taste profile mimics the aroma of where those agaves were born.
