  • Tapatio Blanco 110 Proof Tequila 1l
    SKU: 701192036157

”‘110’ means Blanco at 110 proof but what it really means, is more flavor and less water! We received our first order in 2013 and it immediately started capturing hearts. It’s a high proof tequila that not only has intensity but also finesse and smoothness.

To make our Blanco 110, Agave Pina’s are harvested by Jimadores, slowly baked for 4 days, then crushed to extract the Mosto. Fermented by an 80-year old yeast culture, double-distilled in Tequilano Pot Stills, aged 6 months in stainless steel then barely filtered and bottled at 110 proof. This exacting and handcrafted process preserves the full mouth feel, texture and viscosity of the estate grown Blue Agave.”

”With the rising popularity of Tapatio Blanco, we introduced the Reposado to the collection in 2013, to give our fans more ways to enjoy this cult favorite. It has a smooth and rich flavor that can be easily enjoyed on its own or as a fantastic base for a cocktail.

    SKU: 701192020042

”We introduced the Añejo to the US at the same time as the Reposado, in 2013. A truly authentic handmade añejo, it is distilled to strength and bottled without dilution to retain the true flavors of the spirit.

To make our Añejo, Agave Pina’s are harvested by Jimadores, slowly baked for 4 days, then crushed to extract the Mosto. Fermented by an 80-year old yeast culture, double- distilled in Tequilano Pot Stills, aged 18 months in used Jim Beam American oak barrels then barely filtered and bottled. • Tapatio Excelencia Extra Anejo Tequila 1l
    SKU: 701192040019

”As the legend of Tapatio in the US spread and the range expanded, bartenders & tequila aficionados, who had visited La Alteña Distillery in Mexico, started asking for one other special release, the fabled Excelencia Gran Reserva Extra Añejo, one of the oldest tequilas on the market.

Could we get some for the US? Long story short, we were able to get our first 100-case allocation (Lot 1) in Dec 2013. It quickly sold out. Lot 2 arrived Feb 2016. Distilled in 2000 from 100% Estate grown agave, aged for 5 years in used Excelencia barrels, and an additional 10 years in 5-liter glass jugs. It’s one to enjoy neat, with aromas of caramel and eucalyptus, flavors of sandalwood, baking spices, citrus and herbal notes of sage and thyme.”
