Canvas focuses on the generous sweetness of whiskies aged in American oak barrels. However, to complete our composition, we turned to an experimental parcel of single malt re-racked into Spanish orange wine casks for three years. Bright, bold and delicious, our aim with Canvas is to inspire further creative work. Pour a glass, prime your canvas, and fill the frame.
Released in batches, with the batch number shown on the back label, THE STORY OF THE SPANIARD is our tribute to Sherry’s broad spectrum of styles.
You will find a whisky that is full, soft and sumptuous on the palate with flavours of citrus peel and pears poached in red wine and spices.
It’s a whisky ideal for late evening sipping or stirring into a cocktail.
All-malt, and quite the all-rounder, Orchard House features some of Scotland’s fruitiest whiskies. A lively and fragrant sipper with a light oak influence, perfect for the home bar.
Rich, smoky, sherried.
There is a purity, a seductiveness and a certain enticing femininity to Scottish grain whiskies which can make them special among spirits.
Compass Box Peat Monster Blended Scotch Whiskey 750ml
We have used a special parcel of whisky made at the Loch Lomond Distillery from peated malted barley, distilled in their copper Coffey still. Despite this being 100% malted barley, the use of a column rather than a pot still during distillation means this cannot be classified as a single malt – it is the perfect spirit around which to build a unique blended grain Scotch whisky.
Et voila, THE SPICE TREE was resurrected – matured using a custom-made cask with French oak for the heads and American oak for the bodies.
THE SPICE TREE is a rich, intense malt whisky redolent of baking spices and layered with toasty oak accents that complement the underlying distillery character.
A rich, round and fruity whisky, made for both demanding single malt drinkers and discerning bartenders.
The name Oak Cross comes from our use of both American and French oak in the maturation of this whisky
No Name, No. 3 marks a further point on the spectrum of peat. It is older, wilder and weirder than the previous No Names. Seaweedy and barbecue-scented single malt from the Laphroaig Distillery takes top billing, with malt whisky from the Bowmore Distillery lending compelling hints of mango and pineapple at the very limits of ripeness.
Seashells and sage; pineapple and allspice; smoke that moves in oily waves. This is the perfect whisky for introducing a little drama to proceedings – and a fitting conclusion to our peaty trilogy.
‘Whisky is full of life. Scotland especially is home to many different species of spirit, from heavy to light, fruity to smoky, and pungent to ethereal. Certain whiskies taste that little bit wilder than others, and we have brought together some of these strange and beautiful creatures to create our Menagerie.’
For this, the second Limited Edition of the No Name series, we’re again allowing the whisky to speak for itself. Still very smoky indeed, there is a new depth and delicacy. To borrow a musical analogy, No Name was peat as power chord; No Name, No. 2 has brought some harmonics to the party.
‘Vellichor’ is a new word and refers to the aromatic atmosphere within second-hand bookshops. For this project, we have combined complex and impressively mature whiskies from renowned distilleries, as well as parcels of blends that have been aged for many years in ex-Sherry butts, to encapsulate this unique fragrance.
Compass Box The Circle No 2 Scotch Whiskey 750ml
When we began a maturation trial in 2016, we hadn’t expected the whiskies to develop such deliciousness in so short a period of time.
Rogues’ Banquet is a gastronomically-inspired Limited Edition, made for the gourmands and the hedonists who have accompanied us for the last two decades.
A combination of American oak bodies with toasted French oak heads, our custom barrels generate compelling flavours for us. Yet until 2016, their effects on smoky whisky remained something of a mystery.
Scotch whisky has a rich array of stories, myths and legends. However, what start as myths can become received wisdom, influencing our understanding and restricting our enjoyment. We have deployed blending to challenge assumptions, biases and prejudices concerning Scotch in this limited edition series we call Myths & Legends.

Rosey Mitchell is the 2018 winner of The Circle, our programme designed to inspire bartenders around the world. Rosey’s prize? To create a blend with Compass Box founder John Glaser and whiskymaker Jill Boyd. Rosey wanted to make an approachable whisky to be shared with friends, something for the daytime, a whisky with brightness. She called it “sunshine in a glass.”
Orchard fruit notes are common to both Calvados and Scotch malt whisky. Many Calvados producers double-distil in pot stills, just like their Scottish cousins. Maturation in French oak is another aspect of their shared DNA.
For over 30 years, Juveniles Bistrot à Vins in the 1st arrondissement of Paris has been a crossroads for winemakers, spirits producers, writers and various sorts of affable hedonists from all over the world.
Made from just two parcels of whisky, which we are unlikely to source again at these ages, Tobias & the Angel is a culmination of two decades of whiskymaking.

Some may call it sacrilege, but we thought the addition of one year old ‘sacrificial spirit’ would be the perfect component to use in our limited edition blend to celebrate ten years of collaboration with our good friends at the package design company Stranger & Stranger.
The result is a delicious Scotch whisky with notes of vanilla and spice, and rich Sherry character.
